A member’s drawing changed standard T-shirt merchandise into a work of art used for a good cause.

Boston IBEW Local 104 wanted to commemorate two of its journeymen who had been killed in an on-the-job accident.  The local also wanted to raise money for the families the two men left behind.  A Local 104 member who is a talented artist composed for the shirts a stunning image depicting a monument to the workers.

Breaking tradition from the standard logo T-shirt, Local 104 commissioned BMA Media group to take the piece of original art from paper to fabric and create a unique, fundraising memorial. More than 280 shirts were ordered and printed through BMA, putting a new touch on a traditional promotional item.

When IBEW Local 104 wanted to make the perfect gesture of appreciation to its international leaders, it turned to BMA Media Group to help create the perfect gift. The local commissioned BMA to help present the leaders, including President Edwin Hill, with union-made, black-leather jackets with the IBEW logo embroidered across the entire back of the jackets.

BMA Media Group handled the ordering of the jackets and the embroidering of the logos. IBEW 104 was left to handle the rest – and to garner the appreciation of some warmer and styling IBEW executives.

IBEW 104 showed its appreciation to its international leaders by presenting them with leather jackets.
