
The
central Ohio branch of e-contractors, a national alliance of
electrical contractors, decided to run a promotion in conjunction
with National Electrical Safety Month (May). To boost participation
and interest, the group invested with BMA Media Group in advertising
as well as in PR surrounding the effort. Press releases were
drafted and sent to print and broadcast media.
Several
media outlets ran the story. Due in large part to the BMA-led
public relations, the promotion was a conclusive success garnering
hundreds of responses and allowing the promotion to continue
indefinitely.
