Strengthen your trade

LaborTools knows that adding the right members to your organization is a proven way to strengthen your trade.

The best way to make your organization stronger while simultaneously gaining a competitive edge on your non-union competition is to have an effective organizing strategy.

Our staff is experienced in creating innovative membership development campaigns.

We can design and create both print and electronic pieces aimed at key demographics to ensure that you are reaching the kind of individuals that will bring their knowledge, skills and desire for membership to your union.

Bricklayers 16

Bricklayers Local 16 came to LaborTools with the need to recruit both new apprentices and experienced non-union bricklayers. In order to do this, LaborTools created a short 30 second spot that would be shown at movie theaters and on Youtube. Based on initial discussions with Local 16 leadership, LaborTools understood the results that Local 16 wanted and crafted a script that would get their message of training, benefits, and a solid career out to the experienced bricklayers and students who could benefit from joining Bricklayers Local 16.

From concept creation and script to shoot, post-production, and dissemination, LaborTools took care of all aspects of this key piece of Bricklayers Local 16's Membership Development initiative.

Piping Industry

Toledo’s Piping Industry is proud to have earned the reputation as one of the country's top U.A. Locals.

One of the ways they continue to stay on top is to recruit both experienced workers and apprentices into their organization to help them grow.

Over the last few years, the Piping Industry has turned to LaborTools to create TV and radio commercials that enable them to attract a large, diverse set of potential members.

After conducting marketing research, the LaborTools staff met with Piping Industry leaders to understand their needs and the areas within the organization they wanted to strengthen. Our staff then collected video assets, including interviews, in order to produce the spots. Since that meeting, LaborTools has produced multiple videos, including the welding testimonial seen above. The positive results generated by these spots have helped the Piping Industry strengthen their brand while allowing them to recruit even better apprentices and experienced workers.
