Creating trusted resources and newsletters for union membership

Member communication is vital for labor unions to keep members up-to-date and invested in everything your union is doing, whether it's on a quarterly, monthly or weekly basis. 

And sometimes, like in the case of the IUPAT International Convention, it's needed within a matter of hours.

Delegates from across the continent converged on Disney's Coronado Springs Resort in Orlando earlier this month to elect new officers, discuss changes to the Constitution, and conduct other business for the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades

A trusted resource of the IUPAT from editing their quarterly newsletter since 2010, LaborTools powered by BMA Media Group was on location to research, write and publish a daily, digital newsletter uploaded to the tablets every delegate used throughout the four-day event. 

Working 12-15 hours each day, our three-person team watched and tracked the daily Convention activity from our makeshift workspace set up in the convention hall. At the close of business, we would then use the information we compiled throughout the day to create 4-8 pages of articles, photos and vote tracking in an appealing style and form designed specifically for this event.

Alas, such long days did not allow for much free time, but as anyone who has visited Florida during the dog days of summer can attest, the heat and humidity did not create much desire to be outside anyway. 

Working on such a tight deadline is anything but easy, but we were able to produce a quality finished product for our client each evening.
