BMA Media to Launch IBEW District-Wide Organizing Campaign!

BMA Media is proud to be working with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) 8th District to create an expansive digital marketing campaign to educate non-union electricians on the benefits of working union.

At the heart of the recruitment effort is the District’s online Wages and Benefits Comparison Calculator. The tool provides an easy to review and evaluate wage and benefit comparison between what the non-union electrical worker receives versus the union negotiated alternative for that jurisdiction.

The goal of the campaign is to encourage non-union electricians to use the Wage Calculator tool and learn about the incredible benefits they are missing. These individuals are performing the same work as their union counterparts, yet receiving less compensation. 

"Same Work, Better Pay,” A comprehensive digital campaign

BMA Media will build a new district wide website that will feature unique landing pages for each local union to be used to encourage visitors to use the calculator. BMA will utilize a keyword strategy and other information critical to implementing a quality digital advertising campaign. 

The Wage Calculator concept will boast a new logo, brand and a style guide to promote the value of becoming an IBEW member. The new style guide will be used to centralize the website and advertising design process. 

BMA Media will establish social media channels on Facebook and Twitter as other mediums of attracting non-union electricians to the calculator, through engaging social media posts. 

The IBEW Wage Calculator campaign visibility will be increased through Pay-per-click (PPC) digital advertising on Google and various social media platforms.

With a newly designed and powerful Wage Calculator, the IBEW 8th District will be equipped to deliver the message to non-union electricians: “Same Work, Better Pay.”
