High Tech Member Communications Tool

IUPAT DC-6 Website Union Construction Building Trades

It is no secret that websites are one of, if not the most important, marketing tools for companies and organizations in this day and age.

But simply creating a website is not enough. What happens when your site no longer meets your needs?

This was the case for District Council 6 of the International Union of Painters & Allied Trades (IUPAT), an affiliation of 21 local unions throughout Ohio and central Kentucky. IUPAT DC-6 had a website that was chock-full of information but offered no real benefit to the organization, its members, or its visitors. The site was difficult to navigate and in definite need of a fresh, new look and function to become more accessible via smartphones and tablets.

This is where LaborTools powered by BMA Media Group stepped in.

Besides giving the website a much-needed makeover on the design front, LaborTools reorganized and updated the wealth of information DC-6 offered on its former site to address three targeted audiences: member communication, recruitment, and public relations.

A regularly updated blog and calendar featured on the recently-launched site helps keep all DC-6 members scattered across two states up-to-date on the organization's latest news, projects, and events. Each local union now has its own individual page on the organization's site for Business Managers to use as a communication tool with members as they deem appropriate.

Individuals thinking about starting a worthwhile career in the building and construction industry are now able to find all the information they need on the updated DC-6 site through pages focused on apprenticeship and training. There are also pages dedicated to inform anyone interested in exactly who DC-6 is, what they do and why their highly-skilled members set the standard across multiple trades.
